CHARLIE CONDON: 2023 SEC FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR, 2024 NCAA GOLDEN SPIKES WINNER, 2024 #3 OVERALL MLB DRAFT PICK-ROCKIES
“I worked with Coach Malone in 2023, my RS Freshman year at the University of Georgia. Jim joined the team just a couple of weeks before the season, making it a hard position to jump into. I’ve never seen a group of guys rally behind a new coach like our group did. He made it obvious how much experience he had through his years of coaching at the highest levels baseball has to offer. His expertise pushed guys to be better in the weight room but also stay healthy through the stretch of our season. He made the transition look effortless and brought the best out of our group that year. I only wish I had gotten to spend more time under his program.”
DAVE ROBERTS, LA DODGERS MANAGER: 2X WORLD SERIES CHAMPION MANAGER

“I have known Jim for almost 20 years now, and he was a tremendous asset to us in San Diego on our way to winning the NL West. I’ve watched his reputation in the game of baseball and in the performance training profession grow, where he is a go-to resource for MLB& USA Baseball. I have no doubt he will make an impact in the lives of kids & parents in their development and understanding of what it takes to succeed and prepare for the challenges of our game”

LaTROY HAWKINS, 21 YEARS IN THE MAJORS, #10 ALL TIME IN APPEARANCES, USA BASEBALL 18U COACH-2023
“I had the privilege of working with Jim during my time with the New York Mets in 2013, and in my 21 years playing Major League Baseball, I’ve come across many strength and conditioning trainers. Without a doubt, Jim stands out as the most prepared and professional trainer I’ve ever worked with. He doesn’t just talk the talk—he looks the part and lives it every day, setting the standard for what true dedication to strength and conditioning should be. What separates him is his ability to coach at the highest level while maintaining an unmatched passion for helping athletes reach their full potential. His knowledge, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence made a huge impact on me, even at 39 years old. Under his guidance, I was able to stay healthy, compete at a high level, and finish my career strong.
If you’re looking for someone who brings expertise, professionalism, and a relentless drive to see athletes succeed, Jim (AKA “Strong Coach”) is that person. I can’t recommend him enough!”
JOE MUSGROVE, SD PADRES STARTING PITCHER: 2021 NO HITTER, 2017 WORLD SERIES CHAMPION
“I spent 3 years in Pittsburgh with Jim running my strength & conditioning program, and not only was I physically in great shape, but my mentality was being pushed to a level I had yet to unlock. Jim’s wealth of experience and knowledge, mixed with his dedication to getting his players better, creates the optimal atmosphere for growth! He has a unique ability to tap into the minds of his players and create a level of communication that can get you to push further than you knew you were capable of. With Jim’s drive and dedication, you can rest easy knowing your players are in excellent hands”
JAMESON TAILLON, CHICAGO CUBS STARTING PITCHER
“I had the honor & privilege of working with Jim in Pittsburgh where he oversaw my strength and conditioning programs. One thing about Jim is he wasn’t afraid to push us, which at the big-league level is rare these days. A lot of people want to handle you with kid gloves and Jim wasn’t afraid to break that down on a deeper level. He created expectations, accountability and trained us hard,. We lifted heavy, we ran, we prepared daily. I got stronger. He took to time to teach us, not just tell us what to do. When Jim arrived in 2018, I finished that year extremely strong, I ran the full race, made 32 starts. I was still throwing the hardest I've ever thrown in September and ended the year healthy with my career highs in wins, innings pitched, ERA, WAR & strikeouts…which was obviously huge! I'm still very proud of that. He isn’t afraid to coach and correct things when it's needed. He does that by connecting. He builds a relationship, and for me, it proved he was trustworthy and that gave me the drive and confidence to dig deep and push. I think it's important to have a connection with the strength coach, it's important to have that relationship where we know we're both coming from a good place. We trusted each other. I definitely want to stress, with Jim I had my overall most successful year in the big leagues, where I finished stronger than I started. I complained all the time about the running LOL, and by the end of the year, I remember giving Jim a hug and being like “Dude thank you. I understand now why we did that”. Jim has a wealth of coaching experience, what a great opportunity for teenage ballplayers to benefit from that.”
JUSTIN HAIRE: THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY HEAD BASEBALL COACH
“I am a huge believer that development begins, in large part, with your ability to increase strength, physicality, and movement quality, and the best way for young people to do that is to dedicate significant time and effort to that endeavor. However, finding qualified instructors and coaches to guide a young athlete through this process can be challenging, and of varying quality. Taking advantage of the opportunity to work with Coach Jim Malone is one of the best investments one can make in the life of their athlete. My experience working with him and watching him continue to grow as a coach gives me great confidence that he has been and remains one of the best strength coaches in the world. His attention to detail, work ethic, and love and care for his athletes is second to none. If you want to be challenged, grow, improve, and become the best version of yourself, having Coach Malone driving you to new levels of physical & mental fitness should be a huge priority. I could not put a higher recommendation on his coaching and development skills!”
MARK SHAPIRO: TORONTO BLUE JAYS TEAM PRESIDENT
“The opportunity to receive coaching and guidance from a professional like Jim is extremely rare for the youth athlete. Jim’s extensive career in MLB began when we were together in Cleveland, so I have witnessed both his career and personal growth. His reputation as a Coach, his commitment to continued learning, and his professional approach make him among the game’s strongest resources in S&C. Jim has an extensive level of knowledge in strength training and performance, but his understanding of how to coach baseball players and what it takes to succeed is elite. Applying his programs will allow players to stay healthy, develop, and ultimately elevate their performance”
TERRY COLLINS: FORMER METS MANAGER
“Hi everyone, this is Terry Collins, I am the former Manager of the New York Mets. I have been made aware that Jim Malone is now bringing his coaching expertise to the training of youth baseball players. When I was your age, I wish I had someone as good and adept at getting me ready to be a top-end player as Jim Malone. He got the Mets in the best physical shape as any coach I’ve ever been around. His programs and his hands on regimen made us better. So, if you’re looking to get stronger and more physically prepared? Call him!”
JIM KOERNER: USA BASEBALL DIRECTOR OF PLAYER DEVELOPMENT

With years of experience in Major League Baseball, elite level college athletics as well as with USA Baseball, Jim brings a level of professionalism, knowledge, and passion that sets him apart. His ability to tailor training programs to athletes’ unique needs has elevated the performance of all that have crossed his path. Coach Malone’s remote training platform makes elite-level consulting accessible to athletes everywhere. His guidance not only builds strength but also instills confidence and a deeper understanding of how to optimize performance. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to work with someone of his caliber.”
